Down The Counter

IT’S 5:30 ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.  Right on cue and with the regularity of the best built Swiss watch, they arrive.   This isn’t just a regular fellowship of friends who get together for a weekly dose of the newest micro brews though.   This is a unit.    These men have known each other for years and have been through hell and back together.   They share a bond that is unspoken; one that unless you have lived, you can never understand.   Yet it is there, ever-present and strong enough to bring them in every week with no other goal but to just be in the presence of one another.    A love so unconditional, even a light from above is sent down to bless this union of friends.

This image was shot during a recent photo shoot at Laughing Dog Brewing in Ponderay, Idaho.

  1. Fablous work. Your writing here is almost as profound as the photograph, Mike, what a highly emotional piece!!! Love it.

    • Thanks Toad. These images have created a very romantic and sometimes nostalgic viewpoint of the world for me. I am happy that you like it!
