Winter’s Talons Still Grip

FEBRUARY HAS COME AND GONE. DARKNESS COVERS the land and now shapes the outlook of the masses.  Another day of waking up only to find that winter is still latching her sharp talons into the land with the focus of the fiercest predator; bent solely on not letting go of control over its prey.    Like the shadow cast from the street light outside of your room, she is dark and elusive; yet remains ever present.    She is patient and waits; knowing too well that eventually you will have to emerge from your shell.   When you do, you are hers to keep.

Springtime.  Oh how I long for your warm rays and gentle breezes.
