Storm’s Coming

While I work on a couple of new posts including another small town feature and another church feature, I will share with you this shot from yesterday’s threatening (translate as awesome photo op 😀 ) weather.

    • Thanks Renee. Catching this storm was actually kind of funny. I had just gotten done having a conversation with a photographer, Kelly VanDyke, and we were talking about our lack of taking cameras with us all of the time.

Then, even after that, I left the house to go to the store without my camera and ran across this storm. I went back to the house and got it. Lucky for me, it was a big enough storm that the dynamics didn’t change much.

      Today…I had it with me

  2. Mike, that is one awesome cloud. Did you get plenty of rain out of it?
I like the deep blue. Did you have to use a polarizing filter?

    • Tim. Didn’t see a drop. The storm dissipated before it really got going.

I didn’t use a filter on this shot. The light was good enough when I took the shot that all I had to do was darken the exposure a touch in post to get that color to pop out.
